In particular caves and caverns (around 2000) scattered throughout Bulgaria. Prohodna (Проходна) is a cave located in north-central Bulgaria in the Iskar Gorge near the village of Karlukovo, Lukovit Municipality.

This site contains a truly fascinating natural mystery. It is particularly famous for its majestic “Eyes of God”.

Indeed, the cave is known for the two natural holes resembling eyes which pierce its thick vault.

The two enormous almond-shaped cavities at the top of the cave give the viewer the impression, when viewed from below, that they are looking down, through a pair of mysterious eyes.

That’s why it was called Eyes of God or Oknata.

Prohodna is one of the most easily accessible caves in Bulgaria and today it is a popular tourist site.

The cave has two entrances which are located opposite each other.

They are nicknamed La Petite Entry and La Grande Entry and measure 35 and 45 meters in height respectively.

Sites where lovers of climbing, outdoor sports and mountains will undoubtedly enjoy.

Bozhi most (the bridge of God) is located near Vratsa and represents a rock bridge with imposing dimensions. Unable to explain its formation, the local population began to think that there was an intervention of supernatural powers, and that is why it was called Bozhi most (the bridge of God). It looks like a tunnel 100 meters long, with an entrance of 20 meters high and 25 meters wide. The vaulted ceiling is 12m thick.
